THE CONVERTED COTTAGE

The brief was to restore the building but to improve the layout so that a growing family could be accommodated. After some negotiations the Planners agreed to our designs for 2 extensions of a modest scale, one of which contains contemporary design features including a stainless steel staircase.

Building works included the extensive use of traditional craft skills and also involved all new service installations. They were undertaken by an experienced local contractor and were completed on time and to budget in 2005. Finally we designed and obtained Listed Building Consent for external landscaping including car parking in a restricted space.
